    Colin Cooper, Ph.D., Cht, Rmt, and OM—Lead Consultant
    Dr. Cooper Founder, Owner and Lead Consultant in Personal, Professional and Organizational Transformation, Employee Engagement, Integrative Health, and Well-being for Focus Hu-Energy Consulting.  She is a seasoned Industrial/Organizational and Psychology Professional and has training and experience in various world views relevant to personal, professional and organizational transformation, health, and wellness. Colin has worked as a Manager, Executive and Life Coach, Transformation Practitioner, Health Educator, University Professor and Organization Development Consultant for various private, not-for-profit, educational and government organizations and has amassed over 30 years of experience in the field.
    Specialty areas in which she is particularly adept are assisting clients to successfully maneuver major career and life transition including—talent assessment, selection and training; human resource competency assessment and management; multicultural competency and inclusiveness; fostering innovation; work, school and home performance improvement and well-being. Other specialties are stress, grief, trauma, chronic pain, and conflict management; phobias (e.g., fear of flying), weight and relationship management.  Colin also works well with clients who may be experiencing major job or business transition, burn-out, low self-esteem; depression; insomnia; poor study/work habits; and those who are ready to improve their organizational, professional and personal success and well-being. She is particularly competent in integrating conventional, organization development techniques with research-tested integrative transformation, learning, coaching, and wellness strategies to achieve desired client outcomes.
    Colin’s clients receive exceptional personal services as a result of being a part of a caring environment and practice that supports their efforts to move to higher levels of cognitive, behavioral, and emotional functioning through shifts in attitude, beliefs, emotional intelligence, behavior patterns, knowledge, and human energy vibration.

    Colin holds a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Reiki Master Teacher, an Ordained Minister, Speaker and Author. She has additional certifications and training in guided imagery and meditation,  Neuro-Linguistic Principles (NLP); sound-healing/massage (Tibetan healing bowls); reflexology; Cranio- Sacral Therapy (SCST); the Yuen Method© Full Spectrum Wellness and Psy-K® and other energy practices.
     
    Colin’s emergence in the field of scientifically-supported, energy-based transformation, learning, coaching and, integrative and holistic health practices partially stems from her own personal journey  managing her business, career and personal life transitions. Physically and emotionally, Colin has continue to successfully manage bouts of fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and arthritis in the knees which resulted in total knee replacement. She has successfully” re-created” her career, business practices, financial and personal life using strategies learned thru traditional personal and organizational change strategies coupled with those learned from extensive on-site study of indigenous transformation and healing practices in Peru, Africa, Mexico and with Native-Americans.
    She is a retired-tenured Professor of Psychology and Human Resource Development from Bowie State University and currently works as an Adjunct Faculty of Psychology at the University of Maryland College Park and Baltimore County.  In these roles she teaches Health and Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Talent Development, Psychology and Culture. She also trains students and other  and trains students in Integrative Health Practices. She has also worked as a Professor of Management at Southeastern University; Adjunct Professor of Psychology and Management at The Catholic University of America; and University of Maryland University College. Her private
    Dr. Cooper is a member of the American Psychological Association, Society for Human Resource Management, Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Society for Consulting Psychology, Division of Health Psychology. Colin has 3 adult children and two grandchildren, and she enjoys swimming, dancing, art, theatre and participating in spiritual activities.
     
     Lesley Perkins, Ph.D., SPHR--Senior Associate Consultant
    Lesley A. Perkins is a human capital consultant with more than 12 years of advising, consulting and coaching experience with organizations.  She provides strategic and programmatic advice to executives and human resource leaders and managers to identify and develop employees.  Lesley is motivated by improving the professional lives of others. Her interest in studying and understanding patterns of human behavior and motivation in the workplace led her to focus on talent management, leadership development, training design and evaluation, assessment and selection, diversity and inclusion and strategic human capital measurement. 
     
    Through her tenure and passion as a consultant Lesley has designed, delivered and evaluated diversity and inclusion training and facilitated strategic planning sessions for profit and non-profit organizations.  Also, she has coached individuals in the midst of transition.  Lesley is skilled at creating an intimate and trusting environment for clients to learn and plan for action.  She’s been described as providing clients with thoughtful insight through her integration of information from multiple sources and helping them use the data to plan and take action.
     
    Dr. Perkins’ consulting experience has been with private, federal and non-profit sector organizations.  Her clients have included: Toyota, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, McGraw-Hill, Family Matters of Greater Washington, Arlington Temple United Methodist Church, Department of Commerce, United States Air Force and Alabama Department of Transportation.
    Dr. Perkins is an Adjunct Graduate Faculty member  at the University of Maryland, Baltimore
    City in the Industrial and Organizational Psychology Program; a consultant at
    LNP Associates; Talent Development Coach for Lee Hecht Harrison; and Leadership Development Coach at the National Leaders Institute-University of Maryland, University College. She is certified in SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) HR Certification Institute; Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI); Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation (FIRO-B); and CCL's Benchmarks.


    She received a Ph.D. and M.S. in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Georgia, and a B.S. in psychology from Howard University.  She has additional training from The Coaches Institute and in the Skilled Facilitator technique.

    Ms. Margit Willems, MA. Mht, MNLP —Senior Associate Consultant
    Ms. Magit is a versatile international personal and organizational development consultant; life; transition, business and certified success coach who is uniquely qualified to work with individuals on a broad range of personal, family, and business challenges.  She is especially skillful at group dynamics that may tangle the fabric of business interactions including issues of generational outlook, transitioning, and birth order differences. 
    She has a MA in International Management Studies and Master of Public Administration, with concentrations in organizational development, succession planning and change management from the University of Texas, at Dallas.  She also completed post graduate studies leading towards a PhD in Political Economy and has advanced certifications in MBTI, FiroB, and Sound Healing and Meditation Methods, acc. to Peter Hess. She has over 30 years of professional experience working with public, private, academic, government, and nonprofit organizations, including the U.S. GAO in Washington, DC.  In addition, she is also a researcher, recording artist, author, and public speaker.
